Yoga invites us to connect to our WHOLE selves. Amidst the changes, with all of the overwhelm, the unknowns, the discombobulation. The practice of Yoga can support us to come home. It can create a pathway through the turbulence of this time. It can consciously create connection to your evolving self at this time.

Find yourself again, on the mat

I am so excited to bring you this specialist 6 week, in person Yoga & Wellbeing for Menopause Programme. Intended to support women from their mid 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and beyond… Whether you are in the early stages of pre-menopause or in your post menopause chapter, this programme will offer support and guidance.

As this Yoga for Menopause journey I wish to guide you on has been my own pathway home during this time of huge change.

It will be a journey for you to gain deeper connection to the changing needs of your body, your mind and your soul purpose

You don’t have to lose your way

As, in all honesty, I lost my connection with my own body AND my Yoga practice for a while during the height of my peri & menopausal times

It knocked me for six, as Yoga had always brought me home, back to myself. But I found my trusted practices just didn’t suit my menopausal changing needs anymore. Even the dimensions of the mat didn’t serve my need to move more organically. The sequences I was following didn’t invite the curiosity I was feeling. I needed to be out in nature more. To swim. To walk. To just sit. My physical needs were different. I ached alot. I was exhausted, alot. My body felt different. I had little motivation to keep moving in the same way and I felt stuck on my mat practicing in the same way as I had done for years

My changing needs off the mat were not being reflected by my practice on the mat. I needed to find myself again, To slow it all down. To get to know my differing needs. To be guided differently. To be supported in a way that aligned with how I was changing.

So I rested. I took a long pause. I gave myself permission to change the way I had been practicing. I got to know my body again. I explored different Yoga styles. I trained with a Yoga for Menopause specialist. I took additional courses and studied the physiological, psychological and emotional changes that are known to take place during Menopause. I explored other BodyMind modalities that deepened my understanding of this new chapter in my life.

& I began my journey back home

IT SUPPORTS YOU IN DEEPENING YOUR AWARENESS, YOUR ACCEPTANCE, YOUR CONNECTION & TRUST TO YOUR EVOLVING, EMERGING GLORIOUS SELF AT THIS TIME

So a key desire of this programme, is for you to become aware, accepting and deeply loving to your changing physical, emotional, spiritual and soulful landscape during this pivotal time in your life

As throughout our 6 weeks together, we will embrace your whole wise woman self. We will honour and respect your differing physical, emotional, spiritual needs. We will move, rest, re-discover your energy. We will re-connect to your sense of self, we will support and grow together. We will learn how to re-set regularly.

We will explore specialist teaching practices that support your Menopausal needs.

We will practice deep self love for your changing self. Both on & off the mat

 

Become curious & connected to the woman you are becoming

Throughout the 6 weeks we will address the most common concerns we may experience during this transition. This may take the form of Yoga that supports bone strength, brain health, flexibility and mobility. Postures and sequences that supports gut health, pelvic floor and the release of un-welcomed weight gain.

We will support better sleep, the reduction of anxiety and low mood, create positive self esteem and increase awareness to reduce the stress load on yourself at this time.

Creating conscious moments of pause & reconnection

As important as supporting key physical and emotional concerns, we will also focus on and embrace how to THRIVE at this time. 

We will embrace pleasure as a conscious practice, and gain a deeper connection to our evolving selves, through slow somatic movement, deep active rest and relaxation

Yoga & Wellbeing go hand in hand

In addition to exploring various Yoga practices, we will work with a myriad of holistic modalities that have served me well and proved central to my own health & wellbeing at this time.

These will include practices of Energy Medicine, protocols with Essential Oils (that will be provided as part of the series), Mindful Meditations, Journalling, Yoga Nidra and the AromaSounds Healing with Alchemy Crystal bowls.

It will be my absolute pleasure to support, serve and journey alongside with you over these 6 weeks of this programme. I cannot wait to get us started.
