OLD SCHOOL MENOPAUSE LOOKS LIKE…

Ignoring debilitating physical and emotional symptoms because we don’t know enough

We think and are told we should just get on with it & don’t make a fuss

We daren’t mention the M word in public for fear of ridicule

We pretend everything is great when secretly we are losing our marbles

We fear going to the Doctors as we are prescribed anti depression medication and shown the door

We spend hours fixating on our problems because we don’t know what to do about them

We don’t prioritise ourselves and our wellbeing

We just think if I find the silver bullet all will be well (HRT / DIET / SUPPLEMENTS / LEAVING HUSBAND… )

We leave our jobs or throw in the towel in our businesses because we can’t see a way forward

We leave good relationships because we don’t know how to talk about the feelings we have at this stage of life

We don’t talk about our experiences with our spouses or kids

We do all of this on our own

Women are far too worthy and far too powerful for this outdated view of menopause

So what does the NEW WAY OF THE WISE WOMAN MENOPAUSE look like?

We work WITH our body & mind, our emotions and heart callings.

We prioritise our self care and wellbeing

We have conversations with Menopause Medical Specialists online or in person that doesn’t cost the earth

We feel seen and heard at this stage of our life

We feel part of a connected community of women who are all working their own unique path at this time

We are vibrant and energised

We are quiet and reclusive. 

We rest loads

We learn to accept the changes within our body, emotions, our energy and our spiritual calling

We stop people pleasing

We become discerning with whom we spend our time with

We lean into the discomfort of grief, of loss, of letting go of moving through hard stuff.

We seek guidance to support our physical changes so we can feel more balanced and more able to cope

We release the need to be the same as we were

We seek deeper self knowledge and awareness through our journeying on our own unique path

We don’t give a monkeys what people think about us anymore
